Overlooking Iowa

Little did I know how much this particular trip to Omaha would affect my future. I wound up in Nebraska to visit friends my accident. I was supposed to have gone to Virginia with my Mom, but she injured her back and couldn't fly. However, she wanted me to still have a good weekend, because that weekend was one of the last planned adventures that my ex and I had. It was going to be a tough few days and I really wanted and needed to be surrounded by people that love me. So I went home. I stayed with some of my closest friends. One of my friends, Francesca, who was also going through the tail ends of a break up decided to take me on a hike she has walked many times for her own healing. I brought my camera and my rainbow poncho and just you wait until you see that expanse!
