Leaf Peeping
I started forest bathing after a really painful breakup. There is this path behind my studio space that opens up into a large park and after the heartbreak I would just pack up the things I didn't want to carry with me in my car and just start walking. This particular trip was as autumn was rolling in and the leaves were starting to change in the more Northern regions of the U.S. I went with a good friend of mine, Tanya, was to Michaux State Forest up in Pennsylvania. It was beautiful and eye opening and the ground, when we stepped off the pavement, felt like pillows. We ran off the path for most of the time jumping on the soft ground like forest sprites chasing the light whenever we found it. It was so good to commune with Tanya and to commune with the trees.
